What settings are people running their surface clutter? I'm running mine at 1 and not having an issue with interference or a bad picture, but am I missing something by not running it at 5? I watched a video from Doug and he mentioned keeping it at 5, but I get surface clutter when it's that high. I'm concerned that I'm missing something if I'm not running it at 5? Thanks!

I run mine at 5, and do have some surface clutter. Not sure what the right answer is since I rarely fish <6FOW, but I would assume you lose some sensitivity to shallow returns. Probably a question for the Hummingbird thread so Wayne or Doug or somebody more knowledgeable than me can answer.

I had Slade set my units up. I just looked and he set mine at 2. I didn't ask why.

For my type of fishing usually over 10ft, I can set the surface clutter at any level and just eliminate the top 2,3,4,5 ft of water with min. depth feature.

Thanks a lot! I'll adjust mine up a little then, possibly all the way up to 5!
