Just started throwing a wacky rig. I have been having a lot of success with it also. My question is can you give me some ideas of soft plastics to throw with the wacky rig? Right know I'm throwing $8.00 a pack 4" and 5" senkos and Yum dingers.
Thanks for the help and will add the color you have had luck with also?

use o-rings, itll save you senkos. just put the o-ring in the middle of the senko and slide the hook between the o-ring and the senko.

Check out the V&M Chopstick. It's all I use. Same weight as the Senko, but it's a lot cheaper.

Zoom trick worms long and short work great.....I use gama hooks with weed guard and pinch 1/16 or 1/8 split shot on shank with pliars.....rattle snakes and baby rattle snakes.....really almost anything

I was somewhat hesitant at first but the Big Bite Bait I think they're called trick sticks? I pulled in 8 decent sized fish on a single worm hooked Texas style with a few hits on the end of the worm and about 3 more hooked wacky style. They were $2.99 I believe for a 10 pack at Academy. They are absolutely loaded with salt and scent and have a good falling action weightless or weighted.

Normally use Yamamoto but I can't keep up with the what seems like $1.50 raise in price every year.

I like to use the shrink tubing on my wacky rigged senkos and trick worms. It allows you to put the hook through with the point up. With the O-ring you are hooking sideways.

You have the right baits, just look for better pricing.

Heat shrink...tubing used for electrical work. Ask for it at Home Depot. When you heat the tubing it shrinks to a smaller size.

Correct.. You will need two sizes 1/2 inch for the 6" and 7" senkos. Cut it into 1/2 inch pieces with scissors. Slide it on the senko to the center point. Hit it briefly on both sides with a lighter. It will shrink down tight. I like to use the clear but it is hard to find.

- 1/4 inch for the trick worms.

Hook the hook straight through the middle of the plastic and senko, then put the weed guard in place. The hook will ride in the upright position and the hook up ratio will be much better.

In California we live with the o-ring approach. I like the Gamakatsu weedless circle hooks.

Academy has Senkos for $5 a pack, they've had them at that price for a few weeks now. Go save ya some money.
