I am way overwhelmed by the (3) types/brands/fishing lines out there now. I've pretty much decided to go to FC 90% of the time to make it simper in my mind. Can anyone suggest an OVERALL GOOD STRENGTH FC line if you had to pick 1; or 2 at most?
And, do I need or is there an good overally Braid strength?
Thank you!

I have Seaguar Red Label on 12 lb fluoro on all my rods except 2, and those have 65 lb power pro braid. One is for top water and the other is for alabama rigs. I try and keep it as simple as possible. I buy the Red Label in 2000 yd spools to save a few bucks. You will see a lot of folks still throw mono and do the braid/fluoro combo. I just keep it simple. Just my two pennies worth.

100% Trilene 15lb test. I believe its the best overall line for most fishing but not topwaters

Toray makes a excellent FC line there's different models you can choice from. The down side to toray is that they don't make in bulk.

I use mostly Floro and on my other set ups I have braid.
I really like seagar Invisix and Abrasix. I use Invisix mostly but if I know I'm going to be fishing heavy cover, deep brush, deep ridges, concrete, etc. I use Abrasix. They are both better than red label and I can tell a difference when tying knots, etc.
Also it's important to stretch your line on a regular basis. This helps keep it from coiling up.

Heavy cover = XPS 25# floro. Open water = 17# Stren Floro. Braid = 50# Stren for heavy cover and frogs on the grass

Invizx!! All the way. Was on squaw creek with no TM battery and tied down in a tourney. Landed a 7.5lb with 12# Invisx. She wrapped me in the timber and couldn't get the boat untied to get close to her played tug a war for about 5 min. That line never snapped. Will never buy another brand.

10 pound Invizx. good all around t-rig line and cranking line. i bought a 3000 yard spool of 10 pound Invizx and couldn't be happier. Flipping I stay at 20 pound. remember, the lighter you go the more you'll get bit.

I really appreciate your help and the simplest advice. Like you, I want to keep as simple as possible. I've decided, my rods will have 12-15 FC with the exception of two which will have Braid. Thank you so much!!

Been using InvisX for about 8 years. All good THIS is the best one I have come across and is what I use. Stay away from the "Abrazx"! I tried that one ONCE. After 3 fish snapped that line on one trip I loaded back the InvisX that evening.
FISH ON!! <'///><

Looks like the summary of this advise says flouro over all, braid for flipping and froggin probably and maybe one line with 10 lb mono for topwaters. Maybe one more with 6-8 lb flouro for deep drop shotting.
