Any body fish out there, my brother in law is a driller working in Longview and I was thinking I could go fish out there and take him with me.

There is a pretty popular tournament out there this Saturday, so I would probably not expect too many replies. If I had even an inkling of a clue what the fish were doing, I would tell you, but I can assure you that you dont want any info from me! LOL

The lake has been falling the last couple of weeks. I talked to one guy trying to crappie fish last week and could not keep the cats off his line. Limited 2 days then they shut off on the third. Fishing in 8 ft. Water still around bushes so a lizard or some plastic for bass.

I have only been once last Friday. One thing is WATCH out for the boat lane poles....many of them are barely showing, after rain last night they might be hidden again. I watched boat after boat cruise right over them without much thought.

I didn't catch them that good, everyone showed up to fish Good Friday at daylight but was vacant by noon. I guess everyone else had a tough morning too.

No matter how good or bad you have it, wake up each day thankful for your life. Someone somewhere else is desperately fighting for theirs.

I've been on the lake a few times. Its a great fishery. If you're bass fishing the "river" is a popular place to fish in the spring. Be careful. The boat lanes in the river are narrow. Everyone thinks they are driving race cars and fly through these narrow channels. I've seen some horrific accidents on The Pines.

If it ain't yours don't mess with it!

Probably my favorite lake. The upper end around the 155 is good, especially this time of year. Just stay in the boat lanes. I like the lower end just as well though. It's more rock and rip rap, instead of stumps and grass. Try to fish main lake coves that will be clearer water than the creeks. I haven't been in awhile, but that would be my game plan.

Water level is 7 ft. High. Our pier is floating, well kinda, 4 ft over the cross braces. Be careful.
