But just barely! Jpenwell went with me to buck gale force winds this morning & a couple hours is all we could take. I think the spawn is about done at the Neches end of the lake after 3 weeks of EVERYBODY ELSE catchin good bags of fish. Anyway, reports are the fish are moving shallow around mid lake now. This mornings bag was 1 13" ditch pickle for Jerry & this 1 nice male white on one of my jigs.

Way too windy to be comfortable but still good activity with a good friend made a great morning.

Yeah, I took a vacation day to go fishing, but loaded up the boat, and decided not to battle the wind. Ended up going to the shooting range, instead, and try out my BP pistol. Weather (and wife) just won't cooperate this spring. I haven't been out yet. Might try to give it a go this weekend.

If my hands are gonna smell like fish, it's gonna be because I've been handling one more than 2-3 inches long! There was a guy there fishing minners, been there all morning & had 6 fish. Like I said, I think it's about done at that end of the lake. I could be wrong, but at least my hands don't smell like MINNERS!

Trip wasn't a total waste. Pepop brought some great breakfast burritos.... Prolly should have picked up some minners too. And some soap n shampoo for the ride back in the gale. Still had a good time. Mr. Roachie since you don't have a minner phobia, backs seats open for you when you want. stir
