I was wondering if anyone had fished granger lake lately.? if so how well did you do? what the water temp is? are the fish in the shallows yet 10ft and blew or arn you catching them deeper in the lake. I have only been there a few time. I got a phone call from a women asking if i could take her husband who is a disabled vet out fishing monday the live by granger lake so it would be easier to go there . I guess he use to go fishing all the time, before he came back from Iraq in 2005 now he hardly leaves the house and hasn't ben fishing since that time. I know grager can be good but i just dont know it very well any tips or wold be aprishated

We fished there this past weekend with jugs and poles. We did not catch any while pole fishing out of boat but caught 3 on jugs. One was caught on cut buffalo and the other 2 were with raw chicken tenders soaked in dead red over night. Water temp on Friday at the dam was 73 but after front came threw it dropped to about 68. Fish were caught in 14 foot of water but on the top hooks (about 2 foot from surface). I talked to some people at boat ramp and they caught 3 on minnows with a bobber, 2 foot above hook in the cove south of dam. Mine were caught just off of the boat ramp at Wilson fox park, and the swim beach. I have not been able to find the shad yet this year, I hear that is the go to bait to use. Oh, I also talked to another guy that did well using perch on his jug lines. I go to that lake all the time and I should know it better but I havnt had much luck there lately. I know the fish are there I just have to do better at locating them. I hope this helps.
