Good to hear you'll be back on the water, I was starting to think you never got any time off from that J O B you got.

Hopefully after this weekend and next I'll have some better info to share for those that are coming to fish.

Good deal bud, look forward to seeing you. This JOB I got is keeping me from being a real fisherman these days but it does pay the bills. I fished a few days my last days off and before the last big rain but we caught good fish and good numbers up shallow Less than a foot of water and most were males. I did catch some in deeper water, 10-15 ft so to say they are scattered i guess would be an understatement. By the time the tourney rolls around fish will be in about whatever depth you want to try. there will be some fish still shallow but the biggest majority should be mid depth 8-15 ft with some fish deeper. Getting 7 good fish to weigh in should not be a problem. Hope the numbers pick up and this turns into an event and we have enough teams to make it a good get together. Im Really enjoying the the Talk.... But could we get very very descriptive on the Locations these fish are being caught.... Not for my Benefit but as the host I feel its my obligation to go check the quality and health of theses fish.....

With a little help from the weatherman this could be a slabfest on Palestine. Need more of you Tffers to pony up and come down to the Holy Waters and fish this tourny. Could morph into another great Palestine GTG not to mention some great fishing and eats. Last year there was a lot of fun, food, fish, prizes and got the rare opportunity to meet alot of forum members too. Pepop and I are in as are a number of others already. Lets make this happen.. Not too sure, but I heard that celeb palestine jigmaker Pepop may be signing autographs in the chow line.. lol

I heard of a couple two pounders caught today and a couple more bigger than that were lost at the boat Gonna lay off that pile for a couple weeks.

As of Now Looking Like 7 Teams....But we have handed out Several Forms from the Store.... We never Know for Sure till Friday morning.... I Caught Several This week.... Bad News is Dustin and I have a Baseball Tournament it was re scheduled for next Saturday!!! Im Very Up set about it!! We will be at the Weigh In To do the Cooking and Eating.... But will set this One Out.....So that Should give you All A Great Chance of Winning some Money!!! LOL

UPDATE..... Went fishing with my Boys Yesterday Afternoon.... We Caught 18 Crappie we Caught in Shallow water in the Grass and in about 17' of water... Going to be a Great Weekend and Saturday Supposed to be Very Nice!!!! See you This Saturday at Tournament!!

To the front page. Gonna be a beautiful day Saturday, and you can catch fish anywhere from 1' - 20' right now. I've never understood why these events don't get 20+ teams fishing them. They're well run, laid back, and you get free food and usually a goody bag of something. And you might even win some gas money.
