Thanks, I was thinking about walking in and fish below Newman bridge.

That storm blew in wet and violent putting just enough water in the Somerville creeks to muddy them up. That did a number on the fish and they got a bad case of lock-jaw. I am reel confident they are still there but judging from how few fish J-Moe and I caught Monday morning you wouldn't know it! As I drove up to Nails Creek Park I crossed over Jerdelle, McCain and Cedar creeks which looked nice in the morning but by 2 PM they were all flowing and muddy. It took a few hours for the water to reach the lake. There is a slight chance that little flush of fresh muddy water will bring up a wave of whitebass from the lake but I wouldn't plan on it.

Fished the main lake this afternoon, whites still around humps and sandbars. They were much more tight lipped, and tough to get a strike from today, only 12 to take home, but most were big fat females.

J-Moe, that must have been you getting an annual pass when I was going into the park. I guess I did OK according to the reports, ended up with four keeper crappie and about a dozen throwbacks early and then they pretty much quit. I was up the Yegua.

Thanks, as that water was coming down the watershed it seemed to get dirtier. So that makes sense that it quit after a while. I caught 6 crappie early and then only one more fish after that.

It is expected to be 25 degrees with a barometric pressure of over 30.7 in the morning. Not exactly good fishing weather. Or could I be wrong?

Wind speed will only be 10 mph and declining through the day so you should be all good to go fishing in the morning.

It was 19 degrees at the house this morning. Wind chill was 8 degrees. Luckily, I had to play taxi cab dad this morning. That's a good excuse for not venturing out in this mess. I might make a tour this afternoon to see who the true crazies are. Pressure will remain steady until about 10 am tomorrow morning but it will be at around 30.7. I would love to hear reports from anyone who fished this morning.
