I'm considering getting a pair of good polarized glasses and I think I've decided on smiths. My question is regarding the lense color. What would be the best overall lense color? Something I could wear in most conditions. Sorry if there is already a post regarding this, just need some feedback.

Thanks in advance for any info you guys can provide.

Went to try some on and actually decided to go with the Wiley X glasses. Just a more comfortable fit for my head.

I love my Smiths. I like amber or copper lenses for freshwater, and blue or green mirror for blue/green water offshore.

Same here, wore Oakleys for 15 years. Smith Chromapops are the way to go. Have an Amber pair and a grey pair.

Lots of good sun glasses out there and good marketing for bad ones....

I'm in the business and have been for over 20 years - always happy to help out fellow kayakers if you need optics just let me know.

Most important is that they are polarized! You start getting into prescription and you have lots of options....

Now that I see all these responses I'm thinking of getting a pair to go along with the wiley x's I picked up already. When you all say amber are you talking about their bronze lens? The pair I'm really wanting is the touchstone with the ChromaPop Bronze Mirror lens. Also, anyone know a good place to order these, or any discount codes for the smith website?

I have the Chromapop Polarized Bronze Mirror and The Chromapop Polarized Gray Green. Wear the bronze 85% of the time. The clarity is amazing. Like I said I wore Oakleys for about 15 years. Smith is one of the few companies not made by the sunglasses company in Europe, btw Oakley is manufactured by that company.

Jason, I agree. Anything I'm spending over 200 bucks on I want to see in person before ordering. I was able to try on several styles at REI. I compared their regular polarized lens with the chromapop. There's a significant difference. I ordered the touchstone with chromapop bronze mirror lens. Now I just have to hurry up and wait for them to get here.
