How well do those "worm binders" work for storage?

Are they worth the cost and do they hold up with whatever chemicals are used in the worms? My "made for soft plastic" tackle box is full of semi-dissolved compartments and bits of worms, &c, that welded themselves to the plastic.

There's not enough room in the tackle box for the worms and the Walmart bags I've been using are a poor solution to the perceived problem.

I have one .. it's nice. I would buy more but have a hard time justifying the cost due to just having so many plastics. My problem with them is that by the time I get as many as I think it should hold in there it won't close.

If you pack it well and take the time to squeeze the air out and flatten the packs as much as you can, you should be able to comfortably get 4 packs in each sleeve. Then you have to go through it to get what you're after or add another pack to replace the one that's getting low and another color you picked up at the same time. And well ... it holds them but doesn't zip shut now. If it did zip shut it would look more round that flat as designed.

I have the largest one that Browning makes. It's nice and holds up well. I have used gallon sized zip locks, and those work well for a season or so. Summer ruins them.

I just tried something new this weekend when I was reorganizing some stuff. I took the trot line rope that rides around and tied like baits in a bundle. To tie them I used the peg hook hole and left LOTS of slack. My idea is I can grab a bundle by the string and have ample room on the string to go through them and open them up. Yet to be determined on how that works.

I have experience all the same issue over time so I went to the BassPros (any good one should work) soft sides with the rings and "zip lock" type bags. I put maybe a 1/2 a teaspoons of fish attractant in the bag with the soft plastics. Some of my plastics have been in the bags for a very long time with no degradation and are good to go when I am.

I really like the worm binders, I tend to keep my plastics in their original packaging then put that in the "zip-loc" type bag in the worm binder. I've had a couple of bad experiences in the past with putting the plastics directly into the "zip-loc" bags in the binder. This is one of my favorite ones, picked it up from Academy for $14.99, has a nice built in tackle box for weights, hooks, jigheads etc.

You mention using an attactant. What do you use and where do you get it? I've only seen spray cans, and haven't had any more luck using that than I do not using it.

I use a large soft sided cooler so it will hold all my plastics!

I used to have the same problem. I got a few BW Sports Worm Bags.

This one.

They came with strong bags (you could buy like 10 bags for $3.00 also) and enough epoxy Velcro strips to stuff 15+ average size Yum plastics bag. Only problem is I can't seem to be able to find them anymore.

I have a couple and think they are great. The problem I have is, I have nearly every worm and creature bait made and use basically two differen ones, but will definitely buy more. It's a disease..

Why is it that a bass fisherman can't pass up a sale on baits even though he knows he will never use up the baits he currently owns even if he never buys another one the rest of his life? Just something to ponder why you make your next order!

Great way to sort tackle, you can put your terminal tackle to match in the bag as well. swimbait hooks with swim baits, tube hooks with tubes. etc.
That being said i bought a case of these a few years ago. and still have about 10 left, that i will eventually ebay at some point in time. They just seem to go along way.
I use 1 for each bait, keep two packs each of my key colors. 20 packs of tubes or worms is lots.
Normally come tournament day i have figured out what color's/ baits are working best and have extra packs of those in the boat.

Sounds like you need to fish more often

Sorry for the delayed reply. Baitmate Max florescent flake. Don't remember where I got it. I have had it for a very looong time. Mine is in a finger pump bottle so I can unscrew the pump and pour it in the bag. Looks like they may not make it that way anymore.. Because I soak them in the bag a little goes a long way.
