I understand the frustration of people making a mess and taking over a place and the frustration of a crowd but there has to be a better way than to handle it them to deride those that do want to share . One person stated that after a spot was given out lots of people were there with cast nets , that would seem to me the perfect opportunity to take one of those guys off the filed by getting a Game Warden out there . I know they don't have time to help with the littering issue but maybe if you just said something you might find that they might respond positively. if this guy give you grief after that them call the cops , most people don't want to go thru the trouble of getting a ticket.

Game wardens are always called when needed as far as I know, I have a hard time walking up to three or four strangers in an isolated space and asking them to pick up trash polite or not. Might be because when I did something like that when I was about 20 I had a knife pulled on me, but to be honest I know not everyone is like that. I just figured these places would be protected if the masses did not come crashing down on them but I am young and still learning and will always be learning till the day I die.
I only fish on days that end in Y!

Does not happen as much in this section as some of the others. Starting to happen pretty regular in the Catfish section. Try posting a pic of a Large Mouth Bass that you keep to eat in any section and watch what happens. You would think you killed the last LMB in the world. I have noticed Black Bass have an almost religious devotion with some. It's gotten so bad I quit eating them awhile back, just because my friends would jump me over it. Now I just keep Catfish/Whites and Hybrids to eat. I always like to remind my Black Bass buddies that they are nothing more than a glorified perch, Whites/Stripers/Hybrids are actually real Bass! That usually gets them going. One time I told a guy I used them for catfish bait, I thought he would hit me. No, I have never used them for bait.

Lol I don't get the bass thing either, in two years of trying I have only caught 2 crappie and maybe 4 sandbags but I can close my eyes and cast backwards and catch a large mouth .Sometimes they seem to me to be more prolific that sunfish. I've caught them in creeks so narrow you can jump over it. My nephew and I go to creeks and Ponds where people have sworn to me there are no bass and i catch a couple with ease. Mesquite City park for example everytime I go people look at me crazy when I tell them I'm fishing for bass lol.

I think its more disturbing when guides post "fishing reports" with lots of pics, a phone number and no useful information regarding where and how the fish were caught

Love to post and help anyone, went to the coast few weeks ago and had one of the best trips ever, and some of the advice came from here, another was a guy we met in the bait store.

I love this Bass Cult Texas has going on. In Wa State we chased trout, stealhead, salmon. Dang stupid Bass would get into the reeds in shallow water and drive you nuts flailing around trying to catch frogs. Then when you accidentally caught one it was a pain to reel in and toss back. Cause while its on your line splashing around its scaring off the trout.lol. Geography, it amazing.
