I always see a post about powerpole vs talon. It's usually gets very boring a repetitive. So I figured I would share a story. This is my second boat with power poles. I have never had a issue with them up until the weekend before last. When I hooked my boat up from the storage I noticed the blades had cracks around the blade itself in the plastic. I figured it must have happened the week before. So I went out fishing, got to a spot around Caney and poled down.. I noticed a little flex in the poles... I said you know what. I'm calling these folks and telling them what is going on. So while on the water I called customer service. Told them my issue and they asked me if I had registered them. I responded with no I hadnt. They then took my info over the phone and said your poles will be at your house within a few days. So low and behold 3 days later. Bam they show up. So the moral to my story is powerpole customer service is AWESOmE...... Keep this in mind the next time the subject comes up......

Power Poles for me all day long! From an engineering point of view and practical application... PP's are far more advantageous than any other brand. Now that this story has emerged... I'm all In!!! That is great Customer Service!

I had similar experience, while fishing in extremely high winds (gusts over 40) with only one pole, the torque bent the aluminum extension, and then broke the cast aluminum mounting bracket. Powerpole replaced the extension and the bracket with no questions, and they sent me packet of new bushings for all of pivot points.

Mine did the same thing. Bought them from hydrilla gear in Florida. He sent me two replacement poles while only one was cracked. Had them two days later. Thanks rich, great customer service.

Actually a refreshing story about customer service for once. It seems like few and far between nowadays where you actually get someone empowered to truly help resolve an issue.

Yep mine did the same thing, they have corrected the problem, I called them and they sent me 2 replacement blades - woot

It doesn't affect the performance, its just a cosmetic issue, but they don't want their poles Looking bad

Are you guys talking about the black plastic wrap around the upper half of the fiberglass pole ? If so then mine are cracked as well, really does not seem to make a difference, it is just a cover, but never the less if they are warrantying it I may give them a shout.

The guy I talked with was Todd. He informed me that it was a cosmetic issue and would not affect them working properly. However he sent me 2 new ones. I will NEVER steer anyone away from a Powerpole due to this great service. The only thing that would make me get rid of my blades is a cooler looking set of blades.. Lol...

Same thing with me. 2 spikes on the way. Just like papamark said it's purely a cosmetic issue. Those guys are great!
