UPDATE: 2/9/15



Went out with my girlfriend's dad and a friend on Sunday to check the lake out. I haven't been out on Fork since January 17th, so I started us out on the main lake banks/points. The big girls are there ( 8-10') of water waiting to move up. The water temp was 49 around 7:30 am, we were throwing square bills in craw color and perch color chatterbaits. We didn't have a lot of bites, but we had one big one going 9.22, she was right at over. After it warmed up, we went up in a few creeks finding 56 water temp. We had a few more fish up in 2 to 5 foot on the same thing.

Started out this morning fishing in 2' - 5' foot, water temps 57-61 degrees. Caught a few fish on a Jerkbait (sexy shad - and a gold.) As the day progressed we caught a few off off beds on a paca craw (okeechobee)





Couple of bed fish we caught this afternoon.


This 8.90 was caught last week by my 9 year old client on a Black Blue Fleck Worm - Shaky Head. Awesome fish!

The fishing was good today and now I am doing what I love to do and that is to bed fish. We had around 16 off beds and a few more while just fishing. We didn't have any real big fish, but they were all nice around 3-5 lbs.

I saw more fish on beds today than any other day this year. Also, I found a few big girls that were just not ready yet, but they will be. If y'all like to bed fish, I would head to Fork because it's getting right.

I am spending most of my time around mid-lake because of water clarity.

I am still fishing with weightless flukes (mardi gras) in 2' of water up to the bank wall while looking for beds at the same time. When I am bed fishing I am flipping a paca-craw in black and blue, and that's about all I've been doing the last two days.

If anybody wants to come look for some big girls Tomorrow 3/31/15 let me know. Also, I have like 7 -8 days open in May still.
