I got new bearings and surge brakes put on a tandem axel trailer for a 20' bass boat. Now there seems to be excessive vibration in the trailer and the rear bearings (brake axle) feel even hotter than before I got the work done. Anything that they could have done changing the bearing and brakes that would have caused the vibration? Looking for advice on what to do next. Thanks

Take it back ASAP. Something sounds loose to me. Or have them come to you so you don't ruin a new bearing.

Put the plug in.

several things could be going wrong 1st brake shoes too tight That will cause excessive heat to build up and make the brake fluid to expand making the brake shoes to get tighter in the drums 2nd bearings to loose allowing the shoes to rub on the drum 3rd wrong dot fluid should be dot4 not dot 3 4 has a higher temp rating 4th tire coming apart inner core broken just my PAST EXPERIENCE

If the brake system is not bleed right it can cause all kinds of problems. Pressure bleeder almost a must. The master cylinder orifice is too small on a lot of pulse disc brake systems. They also can get contaminated during brake work.

brakes or bearings. Just make sure they used Timken bearings & races. They will last longer.
