This weekend was kind of a pick your poison weekend! Live bait, cast lures or troll!

Saturday we found the box fish early and loaded up before all any other boats made it over to us! I called a few guys to let them know when we had 5 by the time they got we had probably 30 in the box. We left those fish when we had 36 in the box and went looking for bigger fish and found them blowing up on giant gizzards in an area all to ourselves we caught some on a-rigs and some on bait! Hung two 15 pound plus fish that came off just out of reach of the net and landed a 13 pounder and several other big overs and some 19 inch box fish. Finished the day with 52 fish in the box.

Sunday- I called my peeps Saturday and said get here early if you can and they did!!! We were pulling away from the dock at 6:30 and first fish on and it was still dark. Had a decent run and thought we were going to lay the hammer down and the bite just died on the box by about 7:45. Looked around and caught a few more. We had about 15 box fish and decided to go looking for those big fish again! Sunday they were not blowing giant gizzards out of the water at least not in the same area for me. We ended up getting some nice overs up to about 8 pounds in 55' of water right on the bottom! You would actually see the fish come up off the bottom line on the graph to eat the bait! My graph is set where I can see the weight and bait when using live bait fishing! It was almost like the striper were laying in the mud on the bottom of the lake! One of them even had mud on his belly! Ended the day with 25 in the box.
