I'm sure many of us have our own versions of the basic hamburger.
I generally take 1 and 1/2 pounds of 85/15 ground beef and mix in a half of a finely chopped onion, salt, pepper, garlic powder, and lea and perrins Worcestershire sauce.
Separate them into about 6 oz. patties and place them in the freezer for about 20 minutes. Then grill them. No measuring the seasonings, just eye-balling it.
What's your recipe?
On average, your heart beats 100,000 times a day. One day, one of those heartbeats will be your last. Then what?
The answer is found in Jesus Christ who said "I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly." John 10:10 ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~

I'm a 80/20 guy like to use chopped hatch peppers granulated garlic salt and pep little red wine patty em up and grill. Here lately I like to fine dice mushroom and garlic and saut and seal it between two smaller parties (kinda like a juicy Lucy) then grill them

A throwback to the 70's. 2 pounds 70/30 ground chuck mixed with 2 packs of Lipton Onion Soup mix. Using 70/30 that'll make 4 burgers due to a little extra shrinkage (You've heard about shrinkage, right? lol), but the extra fat makes 'em sooo tasty. Top with the usual suspects, lettuce, tomatoes, onion slice, pickles, add a fried egg for a "hangover burger."

If you make a dimple in the middle of each burger, they don't get super thick and shrink as much. Much more uniform in shape. I like the ground chuck with Lipton soup mix and a little Lea Perrins.

Just salt and pepper for me.. but, the easiest way to make a fantastic burger is to butter and grill your bun on a skillet. even hit the top and bottom outside on the skillet for a minute.

85/15 for me to, add chopped onion and a dash of worchestershire, make patties and dimple the middle. Heat grill. "I like charcoal" with hickory chunks or mesquite wood added. I cook them 7 mins per side. I salt with sea salt just prior to to placing on grill, pull and eat! YUMM, YUMM!

I've always used salt, pepper, and Worcestershire sauce. Eyeballed. Cooked over a nice even bed of charcoal coals. Never heard of the onion soup thing, but gonna have to give that a try this week. Probably tomorrow now that I'm thinking of grilling burgers...

Ditto. Haven't tried Onion Soup mix but Gonna Give It A Most times I go with Green Chilies, Grilled Onions, Bacon, Cheese, Pickles and Mustard.

We do the onion soup thing when we make meat loaf in the oven (well, it's actually ground venison loaf). Burgers get onion powder, granulated garlic, seasoned salt, ground pepper and make some Worcestshire . Hand formed patties (about 1/2 pound of 80/20), grill over lump charcoal and mesquite.
