Flw reporting that John Cox was involved in a single boat accident and came in early. Also saw where Bryan News was in the boat with him and had a pretty good cut on his head. Said both were headed to the hospital to get checked out. Anyone know what happen?

I haven't seen anything except what FLW said so far, single boat accident, refused treatment on water, went back to ramp ending day.

Both ejected from boat and the auto inflates failed. Boat flipped over top of them. John has a concussion and camera guy has broke collar bone.

I'm throwing my auto inflates in trash!!

Not good! I have never been convinced those auto inflates were the way to go.

Any idea of what brand of jackets they were? I got a Mustang H.I.T. this winter and this makes me a little nervous.

I'm glad to here they are OK. This can be scary for sure.
I've never flipped but I have knife edged one on the starboard (drivers) side almost going over. I just got real wet and didn't get ejected. My kill switch was hooked up too.
This is the second incident that I have heard of with these so called auto inflate vest not working. A coworker of mine lost an uncle on Fork a few years back due to this. I just never trusted these things and always wore the high performance racing style vest with the neck/head support.

Each guy gets to decide if he trusts them but for me I would never wear an auto inflate.

Been wearing a traditional well fitting PDF and I KNOW its gonna work.

haha. Pretty close. More embarrassed than shocked. I had just backed in the trailer at the weigh in site. Looked pretty cool. Thankfully I was quick to throw in into the back of the truck and not be seen by EVERYONE at the event. lol

I know mine works... threw it up on front deck while sitting behind my console and the wind blew it off into the water. Within 3 seconds... bang! Popped open like a dancing girl coming out of a cake!
