The guy who protested is the guy who probably won't get a check for the rest of the season. How he is still on the Elite Series I have no idea.

If Dennis was the one who protested then I have lost all respect for him.

What bothers me about this situation is that Mike is a professional guy all the way around. This cat named Dennis was obviously playing by his own rules. I got a chance to check out his FB page and the comments that were made about the situation were pretty dumb. In one of these cats comments he acts like he didn't know that this was going to happen he clearly states he was just laying in bed and that he got a phone call!

I wouldn't assume Dennis protested. What are the chances that the angler 1 spot out from the cut saw Mike do what he did and protest it?

He knew he would miss it by 1 spot and knew Mike was in and knew that Mike would go into the private water?

Sounds like the act was planned out in advance and Mike just so happened to be the one to use that water.

Definately wish he had been able to fish those final days. The culprit needs to be penalized.

I've heard a story detailing the events that was almost too over the top to believe, but it was second hand information, so I'm not going to post facts that are not confirmed.

Kernan and I have had our differences, but I am very happy he is seeing a little justice on this deal.

The guy who protested and made the call to his "friends" to post that water on day 2 should be thrown out of BASS for unsportsmanlike conduct.

There is no need to assume , it is a fact not sure why everyone seems to be skirting it. Dennis Teetjay whom is local , whom is/was the first place out of the cut, whom is connected to that piece of land's owners, and by the way never with his own eyes saw Kernan in the area hence protested on hearsay was who it was.

I am glad it was handled correctly in the end but having read some of the pre tournament info with my own eyes I just still don't understand how this got beyond a "no we cannot proceed with a dq in this instance" so if that's me saying Trip handle it wrong then so be it.

Done is done but knowing mike I can't help but speculate what if he'd been allowed to fish the next day , still just doesn't seem right.

Kernan should get the check and AOY points Tietje earned by getting to fish on Saturday, imo.

Great news for Mike and like others have said he handled this whole situation with class. I feel like most guys would have gone ballistic.
