Looking for some new places to go LMB fishing near Houston. Wondering if anyone has any suggestions.

Couple of spots I've eye balled... lake dunlap, raven lake, houston county, gibbons creek, walter e long ... any suggestions?

Conroe? Any lake you can catch a 10 on is a decent bass lake to me. Fayette and Bastrop for numbers.

Another option would be Lake Houston.....it is really coming into it's own finally. Took 23.88 lbs to win a tourney this past sat....

All the other lakes mentioned are good as well, like it's been said, Conroe good for quality, so is Raven, but that lake is real finicky. Bastrop and Fayette great for numbers.

I was on lake houston just the other day. I fished a little in some coves and banks along luce bayou. That particular day I had no luck in producing a strike, but I didn't fish very long or very hard. I was more out there testing out some new equipment to make sure it all worked, but decided to pull a pole out and give a whack. I launched at deussen and ran all the way up there.

Be careful running out there. Pretty stump filled.

Go to Conroe, you can all the fish you want to there
Stay south of the big bridge and you do not have to worry too much about stumps and you will catch the better fish

rayburn and toledo are tremendous lakes. It takes me about 3 hours to rayburn, and 3.5 to 4 to toledo.
