Was fishing Dunlap yesterday and hung a fish between 8-10 lbs. Got him next to the boat and it looked just like a Grenell fish that I have caught at lake fork. He turned and broke/cut my line before I could land him... Are there Grenells in Dunlap?

I have never heard of one or seen one in Dunlap. Interesting. I have caught them before but not in Dunlap or any of the Guadalupe chain lakes.

To my knowledge, no bowfin in Central, TX in the Guadalupe or Colorado chains.

I'm not sure it was a Grenell, but it looked like one of those ugly suckers... Hopefully it wasn't a snakehead!

Yes, there are some giant plecos in there.
Dunlap has about everything when it comes to fish species.
There are some giant carp in there, big gar, blue gill the size of dinner plates (caught one on a t-rig, fit a 2/0 hook into its mouth), Rio Grande Cichlids, crappie, Guadalupe Bass, Small mouth bass, big cats, big tilapia, various Sunfish, and, of course, Large Mouth bass.

Good to hear it's turning on. Thursday Nighters are no fun when a 12 pound wins it.
