I had a similar situation in the creek in the back of Richardson Slough at Benbrook lake except there was no one there but a net was stretched across the creek channel. I was in a boat and it blocked me from going up in the creek.

thumb I've been seeing a ton of trucks parked at the bridge the last few days. I was wondering how the run was going, I need to head that way and do some fishing.

Good job Ron kudos to you.

Not fishing Sandies lately, still doing high school fishing tournaments with Aaron and his fishing partner. They are 2nd place in anglers of the year in the west division. Went from 8 to 10 high schools last year to I guessing 40 or more this year

I'm sure we will see ya on Lewisville sometime soon.

whats the big deal? i catch sandies and hybrids with cast nets all the time! its so much easier than fishing rod and lure. especially when they are spawning, they don't bite whatever you throw at them. but one throw of a cast, i got them all! spawn now you #$@@#!!!

who uses buckets, i got a wheel barrel!

LOL... im just joking. i do hear of folks getting limits of sandies in 15 minutes with no line on their rods.

Ron can't believe you called the warden on your primo's just cause they wouldn't let you carry the bucket. Glad you were there to teach them fools a lesson. Next time they will have a better lookout and not set up next to you. Ha ha

Wanted to do an update after talking to the Game Warden on Friday. The GW said that each individual was charged with two counts each (no fishing license and illegal means of fishing). Then they all were ordered to pay a restitution fee for each fish. They all showed up in court a few weeks later and pleaded guilty and paid the fines and all the restitution costs. Case is now closed.

Should have confiscated their car too. Don't they take stuff like that for poaching deer?

Well if they don't pay it, a warrant will be issued for their arrest, and the next LEO that stops them they go to jail. OP should post their pictures so we can watch for these thieves...
