Thanks guys but I am no hero or deserving of your accolades. I have made some stupid mistakes while hunting/fishing but try to learn from them and make better decisions going forward. Some were not being careful in fully understanding of laws (slot limit) or letting my emotions get the better of me (taking an un-ethical shot) but I have never set out to blatantly break the game laws. I am always regretful once I realize the mistake and make sure that I never make that mistake again. It's kinda of like speeding, I've done it before for one reason or another but then you realize the consequences for your decisions (or lack of knowing the laws/limits), you try to drive in a safer manner so you don't cause an accident and potentially hurt a loved one or someone else.

But these guys were defiant of the laws and had set out to break them for a mess of fish at whatever the cost. You could tell that they knew what they were doing and it wasn't an honest mistake. I had even heard one say in Spanish that we were "just fishermen and not to worry about us". Had I felt like it was an honest mistake I would have just explained it to them and if they did the right thing and released the fish then I would have never made the call. This was not the case and they deserved to be reported and fined.

Awesome job! I have heard that since game wardens are so sparsely distributed sometimes they don't make it in time. Does anyone know if you are allowed to call the police and then have them hold the people until a game warden can show up?

AWESOME MAN!! Very good job in what you did ...!!
Everyone please call the Game Wardens and local Law enforcement every single time you see something like this.
Take a video and pictures.Text it to the warden or law enforcement officer that calls you. Or- if you have there phone number send it to them and your exact location.Watch and be cautious.
I am retired law enforcement and I will always call every time..It is all of our jobs to be the eyes and ears of the law to report what we see and find in the fields..It takes away from all of us. These gill netters and cast netters have got to be caught every time..
Again.. !
BlueNitro great job..! thumb thumb

Great job! I see these guys all over the creek as well as the cut to the old dam on Lewisville. About time some of them got busted.
