Does Belton have both types of crappie or just white, i have only ever caught white...just curious.

I think so. I say pictures of black crappies caught at Belton Lake.

To my knowledge belton just has white crappie. The pictures of "black crappie" you see are probably male white crappie that turn dark during the spawn.

Caught 2 over 11" crappies at SH 36 bridge in temple this morning, from 8am-10pm, kind of slow.

....all kinds of folks out around the bridge this afternoon!!! Everybody has been talking to somebody.....but not a whole lot of catching today!!! Dozen and a half keepers and lots of small males. Spring break is as bad as July 4th!

This afternoon we caught 28 keepers on the white flint side of the bridge. Both black and white, the bite has started to slow down, both bite just as well.
