Lake temps were 45.1 on Wednesday and it needs to be in the high 50s before they even think about heading shallow. My honest opinion is that it'll be a few weeks.

Speaking of "poor bank fisherman," I'm not ready to buy a bass/fishing boat, but I am trying to think of what I can do to get on the water at a low price, small,. 1-man operation, but not a kayak. I wonder about those jump-suit floater things, or a piece of driftwood, maybe a surf board...what do you think? The crappie are waiting, and not just fisherman to start "wading."

I would like to keep this post going since we have some rain this year! Hopefully someone can pass on any updates when they start biting. I want to try to catch some crappie this year now that have a kayak I can access some better spots. I'm planning on buying like a 10ft jigging soon....

I have noticed people fishing from the bridge off 380 near Princeton.

This year? I'm shocked. Last year, most all of the lake there was dried up. I fished there two years ago, and it was very good.
