I currently have a2005 legend le-21 and I'm thinking about upgrading. Looking at a 2012 fx 20 with a 250 sho and power poles. Also looking at a 2013 phoenix 921 also with 250 sho. Both are priced same. I have had 2 skeeters but never been in a phoenix. What are your thoughts. Thanks

They are both excellent boats. You need to test ride a Phoenix. I've owned Skeeters also but currently drive a Phoenix 618 and I have to say I'd pick the Phoenix again hands down.

^^^^ I can attest to driving it before making a decision. I resisted Skeeters for years just because a couple buddies of mine always said they rode "rough". Then...... I drove one. I have heard Phoenix makes a top notch boat and I believe you cannot go wrong either way. In the end, you have to weigh several factors before making your decision if buying used. I would drive both extensively, and take written notes. Then, make your decision.

I was a hardcore believer in pheonix. I did most of my fishin last year out of my buddies/ tourney partners pheonix 921. I loved it and they are really decked out with some neat interior options. Then I rode in an FX in a tourney and the ride when you have to let her rip in less than ideal conditions was incredible. I just bought a 2014 fx20 and couldn't be happier. It has the same interior perks that I will actually put to use that pheonix does and is a superior driving boat in my opinion.

Phoenix all day... I have a 12' 921 with 250 SHO and it is by far the best boat I've personally owned, or even fished from. You can't beat the way they handle at all speeds and conditions. I've had mine at 75.5 mph, that's pretty darn decent for a boat pushing 22'. I'm also putting mine on the market if you are interested in taking a look, I havnt gotten around to posting on here yet, just been draggin my feet I guess!

It is a good boat, I just had problems with legend when I took it back to the factory for a repair of my transom. Time to change brands.
