I wish I could take the credit for the design and building of this but that has to go to my fishing buddy Mutt, also on the TTF as "Olhipi" for the design and cutting out of the material and to Mutt's grandson for coming over Sunday and welding it all up after Mutt came down with a serious stomach bug Saturday evening. It's shown here just clamped in place while checking height and step distance, but I'll post a folow-up photo after it's wire brushed, primed and painted aluminum to match the trailer and has the rubber step pads. Great job and it will make it a lot easier to get in and out of the boat since the trailer fenders and step points are actually under the sides of the boat.

Hey that is not too bad. I could build that. Any idea if there is a place that sells these and what the cost is?
Current Cylinder Index is 42.

The commercial version folds, has a handle and is pretty high $$$. The materials for mine came out of the scrap box and I paid my buddy's grandson $100 for the couple of hours he spent fitting and welding it up. I'll probably spend $10 on paint and I have the rubber step pad material left over from another project. I've found several variations on this in varying prices, all more than I have in this one and I'm a diehard DIYer, so this was just another fun project.

Here it is painted with step pads and ready to bolt onto the trailer.

For us old farts I'd like to see a single pole maybe a retractable one to grab onto for stability

Here is is mounted on the trailer tongue. I still have the option of adding a hand rail. Undecided on that as of now.

Went ahead and had my local fab guy make a handrail. Cheap and effective.

I tried the steps without a handrail a couple of times and decided that my sense of balance isn't what it used to be. It's really not what it used to be when I'm carrying something in one hand, and the idea of the whole thing is to keep from getting hurt. Dang, old age sucks but I need to male it last as long as I can.
