Hi All,

Headed out to Palestine this weekend and curious where I should try. I was going to take my daughter so hoping to catch some fish. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

I'll be out there as well. Haven't been since late January so I don't have any help. If you see a nitro Bay 2200 center console (white/green) say hi. We'll be out there Saturday-monday.

I haven't been out since Feb 16th. Before then the hybrids and whites where under birds at the mouth and in Saline Bay. We were deadsticking 4-5" flukes with a smaller Berkley Gulp 3" minnow above. If you can find birds working, you will find fish. I went out Tuesday to bass fish and the birds were at the mouths of Highsaw and County Line creeks. I don't know if fish were under them, but that's where the birds were. Good luck. Let me know how it goes.

Thanks for the help. I'm going to guess they are still waiting to go shallow with all this cold weather.

Saline, county line, and ledbetter are a muddy mess now. There were some scattered birds looking around those places but the bait and fish that were there seem to have moved. Water temps midlake were 47. Water farther south looked much better and saw some temps up to 52 by the dam. This afternoon was tough. Good luck out there this weekend.

Most of the birds that looked to be working were way out in the submerged timber north of the horse farm. Didn't go look to see if it was fish or maybe just floating shad from the temperature drop.
