 Air Compressor Locked Up.. Replacement Help?

Got a buddy that was running his boat the other day and his motor locked up. Come to find out it was the Air Compressor is what he is telling me. Anyone know where he can get a replacement?

I would imagine the motor manufacture or his mechanic , needs a new belt and have the rails sent off to get cleaned as well . This is an expensive fix , believe me I know

I'm super-confused. I don't think there's an air compressor on most bass boats...? Is the problem with his air compressor at home or the motor on his boat?

I have been getting genuine merc compressors on e-bay for a lot less than from merc.

Tightlinespft in Killeen, Texas can do it. Just had mine done there. And like stated earlier it's an expensive fix.

tommy replaced mine when i blew a hole in it. rockwall marine will take good care of it.

are they forcing air into the cylinders for more air at combustion, I guess like a turbo
