it came from barlows. number 103600 floater/diver 6-8'/ 1/2 oz. i liked the profile of the bait. its a little more slender than some i've seen. $8.58 for 5

Nice blank I buy lure hardware from them...I guess I need to check out their lure blanks, too. What are you using as your clearcoat...looks good?

i use devcon 2 30 minute epoxy. elliots hardware in plano carries it. at the corner of coit and park.

here's the new "black mamba". original idea came from a guy on the bbc forum. i need to get some reptile eyes for it. that would really add a distinct look.

Like that scale pattern.....the eyes really make a lure come alive....6mm or so snake eyes would really give it that reptile look. Good work!

I've just got into making my own jigs/skirts....I don't want to get started on painting my CBs....I'd go broke......lol

Ghost splatter back has been the most productive for me this year so far Nice pattern...is that aluminum or silver under the black splatter? Chartreuse belly is a nice touch.

I've tried just about every type clear coat, MCU, Eagle, AC1315, Devcon..etc. I think Devcon is the easiest and most forgiving to work with. The others are pretty finicky. Currently getting some nice finishes with concrete sealers but many things have to be just right to use them (temp,humidity, paint dryness, etc.)

These are ready for a new home, I painted them for someone, but we were not on the same page about the finished product. It is a pearl white base with one drop of sterling silver for the base color

Ac1315 for me 3 dips usually 30 minutes between and it is a lot more durable once fully cured from what I have seen.
