Does anyone know if Benbrook has had any water pumped in through Richardson's Slough lately? I like to check myself periodically but since they added the Chisolm Trail Parkway it's hard to get in there, I was just hoping they'd have the lake level up by spring if anyone has seen them pumping it in lately I'd appreciate it if you'd let me know.

I like to do some Crappie fishing at BB when they let me off the boat at PK. What boat ramp is open?

I heard that there are no future plans of pumping any water in at this time, and city of Benbrook is considering draining the lake for development of a golf course and also a hotel/resort being built in the location of the marina.

They have been pumping water in as of a couple weeks ago, but they seem to have stopped recently. Mustang is open and usuable. Lake was rising about .05" a day when they were pumping.

FYI: As of this morning the lake is -7.16 according to the Texas Water Board web site. That is better than it has been all year. You will not have any trouble launching at Mustang ramp. If I remember right the lake will have to come up about 3 or 4 more feet before there is enough water to launch at the Marina. Randy: Why on earth would you leave a lake with the great fishing you have at PK, to come to BB?

Crappie, play with my new electronics, and maybe a shad or two. It's hard to keep straight at times if I live at PK or in Aledo. Benbrook is close to my Aledo camp

James, why don't you just drive over there and check it out for yourself? It's not that far from your location.

I actually have fished Benbrook around 13 years or so and have enjoyed it. but the lake level is the least of the higher ups concerns, all that matters is who can the sale the water to at the highest prices. pockets getting lined and nothing anyone can do about it.

There two year old pics. I have not been to BB in a while. Something happen to the fishing? I get the water is low.....but the fish did not pack up and leave! Is it really that bad? If you can get on the water you should be able to catch fish.
Who has been and what is the fishing like? I would go right now if I could.

I was out there three times in 2 weeks. I have all the electronics and have fished BB for 15 years. I fished 6-8 hours. Caught 1 fish in 3 trips. Marked bait and fish, but could not get a bite. Fished all the Mustang hump, Richardson humps and trees, trees where I have caught crappie before, fished for cats, crappie and hybrids. Fished with Dugan a couple of times and we just got frustrated. I am waiting until April and try it again. I did not catch a sand bass from Sept. until now. Don't know where they went. Usually at least can slab up yellow bass, haven't been able to do that either. Caught a few crappie just before Christmas and then everything went away.
