Found this area during the last warm spell. Several channels of a local creek were holding some nice Greens. Caught about eight of em. Fish were all in the seven inch range and fat. Got a feeling once it warms up and we get some steady warm weather the big ones will be getting active. fish

That looks like a nice hidden gem. Only place by me I've caught Greens is Mason Creek and it's rare. Look forward to more reports from your new Green hole.

Looks like my kind of place Chuck. I suspect you will have lots of fun discovering all the different species and sizes of fish in there!!! That magic touch you have with a simple earth worm catches everything.

I used to hit a new pond with big bass baits like spro frogs, plastics, etc. Now I take my fly rod and a size 8 or size 10 Briminator to search new ponds. I will catch small bass to let me know they are in there. But I also catch many more species of sunfish, bluegill and hybrids. I caught a species of fish in a pond the other day that I'm still not sure what it is. I didn't have my camera/phone. I also caught my first warmouth that day. I caught the unidentified fish with a slightly different technique/presentation and fly than previously utilized. This was over a year since I first started fishing this pond. That adventurous spirit to explore the unknown is really a big part of what drives us fisherman. Especially when we see fish rolling the top of the water and we can't figure out a way to catch them, LOL!!! I'm still trying to figure out the secret of the gnats hmmm

Looks Good Chuck. Hope you find the big ones!

Side Note: That pond looks like it is in pretty good shape. Looks like the wet winter really helped the local water bodies. Looks like more rain is on the way.
