Looks like dbones is in charge of the calcutta. Our biggest last year was 26". I'm guessing 30" and 12.5 lbs. caught by Levi so he can get that car. They're out there somewhere.

Was kinda rough out there. John Balbo wanted to enter the first fish in the contest. 42" and 8 lbs. He fooled a one-eyed gar with a sinker as bait. My crew ain't scared of no stinkeen gar. That dam thing actually ate a 2 oz. sinker. The leader was just flopping around his snout. Can't say enough about 20 lb Big Game. He was really disappointed when he found out it was hybrids only and didn't start till Saturday.

Mr G, thanks for the offer. I am good for the entry fee, just don't know when I can get it to you. Put a big IOU next to my name. John don't know it yet, but me and him are going fishing soon so maybe I can give him the money. See you guys on the lake sometime.

Looks like you caught that gar at the flats. Was that the only thing biting?

Any guesses on the length of the winning fish.................
Could be a whole new contest..............LOL Looks like the lake record for a hybrid is 28 inches/13.56 pounds. I'm guessin' 28.5 inches.

George T, I clicked on your link and I Have to say I was very impressed. What did you do at UT? Looks to me like you have some engineering skills. I wish I could be that creative and have the knowledge to tinker. Heck, I am installing wood floor laminate right now and it's killing me. LOL, Take Care FT

Ya right. Big bad John said just cut the line. They are a slimy mess After I picked him up John was all worried that we cut the line wrapped around the snout so it would live. Oh well every trip is a new adventure WE got the hook and swivel back can not believe it ate the egg weight. Sandy busted us but good

Started back in the Darrell Royal/Earl Campbell days when all lettering was done by hand. Thank the Lord for computerized vinyl cutters! Can spell engineering pretty good but that's about it. I just tinker till it works. My bathroom tile floor killed me too. Good luck on catchin' a big one.

I'm on the hunt for some mega hybrids. I'll be real careful how I take pics. Can't let NOBODY find my spots.
