The Ray Hubbard Bass Club will be holding our second meeting of 2015 on Thursday February 12th. The meeting will be held at Bass Pro Garland downstairs in the restaurant. Normally we hold our meeting on the patio, but we will be in the back room for this one since the temperatures outside will not exactly be shirt sleeve weather. The meeting will start at 7:00PM. We will be taking memberships for the upcoming year. Membership costs $30.00 and that is a family membership. Parents, siblings and children are all included. Your second cousin twice removed? Maybe not.

We will be discussing the our first tournament which will be on Lake Palestine on Saturday February 14th. We will be launching from Lake Palestine Resort. We are fishing from 8:00AM - 4:00PM. Palestine has a lot of timber so we will be discussing running the lake and other safety issues for those who are not familiar with the lake. If you watched Honey Hole on Palestine this week you saw Bill hit a stump with his trolling motor and go over one with the big motor going, so that is what you will be experiencing. We also need to set hours and decide on a ramp for our March tournament on Lake O The Pines. We will need to discuss our Open Tournament in March as well. Remember, if you want to fish any RHBC tournament other than the Open you must be a member and you cannot join at the ramp

It will a busy meeting as the ones early in the year are. If you are looking to join the Club, see our Secretary Russell Olds when you come in. He and VP Jerry Brown will take care of getting you signed up for the year. New or returning member, you will be expected to fill out an info sheet to make sure we have the latest contact information for our roster and also a TFF screen name as well. We will also be taking your picture so we have faces to go with names for our web site. It will be busy so be patient while we go through everything. Other business will be going over qualification for AOY and the Club Championship and what our community events will be for the season. We will be handing out the plaques for both Angler of the Year and Big Bass of 2014. As always lots to cover so bring your appetite as wait staff will be there for your food and drink orders.
