Soon the Bass will be moving into there prespawn mode and some are there now...That means they will be staging on secondary points, channel swing banks, and channel bends up in the creeks where the water is warmer.

On warming trends the bass will be more active and move up shallow in the warming water and strike a lure from a longer distance, So moving baits such as cranks, spinnerbaits, chatterbaits will produce.

After a severe cold front passes you want to slow down and fish jigs and slowroll a spinnerbait or chatterbait a little deeper.

This is why secondary points, channel swing banks are effective because they have close access to deeper water after a front comes through.

Fish shallower on prefront days and a little deeper on postfront days on these staging areas.

Hope this helps you catch more fish.
