Started fishing at around 7:30 water temp was 53 degrees. Started fishing Salado and that is where we got our only 4 fish with the biggest being at 3.5 lbs. All fish came out flipping the hard woods from about 4-7 feet deep. We got out of the water at 3:00 pm and water temp was 56 degrees. Fishing still tough but getting better. We did throw some cranks at the rocks but no luck.

Was there yesterday but did not fish.

Water levels looked pretty decent

I am thinking of going to Falcon next weekend, February 14 and 15. I have heard nothing but bad reports about Falcon and have been told not to go this year. However, this has all been from people whom have not been there this year. Anybody been there or know somebody that has that has a reliable fishing report. Never been to Falcon and taking my 13 year old son, so need to catch some fish to keep him engaged. Let me know, thanks!

Go to falconlaketackle.com and click on the report, James is an awesome guy with an honest report. it sounds like the fishing is really good right now.

i was there on Saturday. weather did not help. water temp range from 58 - 60 degrees. we fished all the way to marker 7 and we only had 5 fish all day with the biggest at 2.5 lbs. they all came on plastic flipping the hardwood. some of the boats next to us did catch some on spinners. overall it was super slow. Unfortunately, i was not able to fish Sunday. Weather was beautiful. Honestly, I would not recommend for you to come down next week. There will be a lot of boats practicing for Bass Champs since Bass Champs will be here on the weekend of the 21st. I will wait for the weekend of the 28th or March the 7th. By then the weather will be a lot better and your chances of catching numbers of fish will be higher.
