Only thing good would be another chance to catch a few more before the water becomes flooded, to swift and muddy to fish. But rain is always a good thing during the white bass spawn, but there is also a thing called too much rain. Does it change the way they bite? I haven't noticed a difference.

Went to the bridge on Texas highway 36 this morning, caught 7 crappies an hour before weather changed.

I hit the upstream section from the steps for three hours and hauled in ten nice whites. Ten minutes after the cold front hit, the bite went dead for me. I am just thankful to have gotten a few more before these rains flood this river again.

The river is running strong again from the rains. I heard it was pretty muddy and no one was catching. Probably gonna take several days for it to clear up enough for a good bite. Can't wait to get back on em.

I fished long and hard yesterday, ended the day with 18. The water is pretty clear and fish have become spooky to any and all bank movement. Anglers fishing with live bait did the best. I won't say I'm not going back, but taking a few days off. Bite was real slow for me.

18 would be a great day for me. Glad you got a few more before this all comes to an end.

Can I use shrimp do the bottom fishing? I always use shrimp at fall for hybrid bass.

There are no hybrids there, unfortunately. You might catch catfish or hook a carp. The carp are spawning there at the moment.

Well folks, I’ve had a pretty decent white bass season. If I fish for them any more this year, I will not be keeping anymore at all. I have caught my share and then some. Freezer has enough to last till next year. Now it's time to start fishing for some black bass.
