Somewhere I read about someone that tied a fly every week during 2014. Sounded like a cool idea...

However, I already know that will never happen for me. I travel too much to do it for a full year, but I might be able to do it every week in January. (Hey, let's keep the goals realistic. roflmao)

We're three weeks into January and here are my three flies.

So, what did you tie this week? How about posting a picture of one of the flies that you tied this week?

Here're mine:

Week 1: A size 1/0 Clouser: First fly of 2015

Week 2: A size 18 Zebra Midge, using a "rainbow" glass bead.

Week 3: A size 20 Mercury Midge

So, what have you tied????

They are beautiful. You will catch lots fishes with those for sure. I didn't tie anything for a while. Too many things to do at home.

Good lookin' flies.

I have a few I did last week. I had to go out of town, so I finished painting up another batch of poppers and took all my junk with me to set up in the hotel room.

Halfway done.

Finals finished with epoxy.

I set up everything, and ready to tie.

Then I decided to use the opportunity, and the extra space the hotel room had, to work on a video project i've been thinking about for a while. I worked on that until I headed to bed. The next few nights were tough because I couldn't get back to the room until late. I couldn't finish and had to pack it all back up and am going to try and tie this next week...hopefully. Well, that's the plan at least. It was a lot of fun playing around with the camera, just a little time consuming.

Sooooo, technically, I did not "tie" them yet, but I figure it's all part of the process so i'll post a few.

Have a great week,
Scott

Scott is the master of poppers. Those poppers are so attractive. I need to buy an air brush for those markers.

I've had redfish on my mind lately. A redfish bug and merkin variation

I had rotator cuff surgery Dec. 10th so I am still on the mend and can't fish but I did sit at the vise the other day and tried to knock the rust off.
Size 6 shrimp gurgler.
