Going to be heading down there with a few buddies on Saturday. I've never done any real saltwater/bay fishing so I'm a bit lost. We'll be restricted to bank/pier only. I've been told to try a spot on the Brazos river and the surfside jetties with shrimp. Targeting drum, sheepshead, flounder, trout, etc (whatever will bite really).

If anyone has any additional general spots/baits/info to catch fish down there, I would really appreciate it.

Thanks in advance

Everyone should believe in something; I believe Ill go fishing.

My initial plan was to go to Galveston, but a coworker recommended I hit Freeport for better luck due to recent colder weather and rain.
