Happy New Year to one and all! I hope you all are having a great holiday season. But as we all know, after the holidays our thoughts turn to one thing. FISHING! We will be having our first meeting of 2015 on Thursday January 8th. The meeting will be held at Bass Pro Garland downstairs in the restaurant. Normally we hold our meeting on the patio, but we will be in the back room for the first couple since the temperatures outside will not exactly be shirt sleeve weather. The meeting will start at 7:00PM. We will be taking memberships for the upcoming year. Membership costs $30.00 and that is a family membership. Parents, siblings and children are all included. Your second cousin twice removed? Maybe not.

We will be discussing the tournament schedule for 2015. Anyone who has looked at it already knows because of current lake levels in the area we will be doing some traveling this year. The lakes were voted on by the Club members in November and the schedule made by the lake selection committee in December. The comlete schedule can be found on our web site. We will be discussing the ramp we will use for our first tournament which will be on Lake Palestine on Saturday February 14th. Yes, we know it's Valentines Day, but we always fish the second Saturday of the month, so get your wives and girlfriends prepared early and make alternate plans now! It wouldn't be right to not be in the dog house to start the year anyway. Palestine has a lot of timber so we will be discussing running the lake and other safety issues for those looking to practice. We will need to discuss our Open Tournament in March as well.

It will a busy meeting as usual. Lots of catching up to do. A change this year is you will not be seeing Jeff Cartwright to get signed up. He is taking a year off after five consecutive years as Secretary Treasurer. He did an incredible job and we thank him for all his hard work. His job has now been split in to two different jobs, so see David Simmons and Russell Olds when you come in. They will take care of getting you signed up. New or returning member, you will be expected to fill out an info sheet to make sure we have the latest contact information for our roster and also a TFF screen name as well. We will also be taking your picture so we have faces to go with names for our web site. It will be busy so be patient while we go through everything. We have a proud tradition of being the friendliest Bass Club in the Metroplex so if you are looking for a great group of guys to fish with, tell stories with and make new friends come out and join us! Bring your appetite as wait staff will be there for your food and drink orders. See you on the 8th!
