Thanks "Gitter" for the reply.  As for the far east side the bite is picking up. Hope to be fishing it again very soon.

Picked up 22 keepers today and four that were close to ten. Pretty high up in the water compared to where they have been. Most were fatties. 14.5" was the biggest. Used minnows and jigs but only caught six on minnows.

Your are catching some good slabs down south. Looked like it's on fire but not up here north. Great report chuck.

Thanks "AF_Chief",Matt,and "I love fishing" for the replies. The bite is good right now on the river. Hopefully this colder weather will hold some on the brush piles.  Matt: Glad to see you got on em.  I will be out there today and the rest of the week.

Thanks Curtis for the reply. Have you made it all the way down east? Made it down there twice. Did good both times. Also ramp was closed on Meadow due to water level. GBRA is working on the dam there. Managed to put in a Jon Boat and located one nice brush pile in 14 feet of water. Picked up some nice ones there. Will be hitting it again once this latest front blows through.
