I just spoke with Dusty Dooly. He and Tarponfly are at WRC and there aren't any shad to be found.

We found them in 26-32' on Benbrook.

I'll be throwing my heavy net in the deep water on Hubbard tomorrow.

White rock creek this morning in about 10casts

I know a couple guys that have been catching it there for the past few weeks! One throw and done! have no idea where at or what time as I do not go there for shad!

Oh man, I was there and there were no shad where I was.. That's a nice haul..

The bag on the right would be good if they were the size of the ones on the left..... I normally wouldn't keep any of the ones in the right bag

I have been a few times now and they are few and far between. You either find a few or you dont catch anything. This weather is not acting right for the creek yet. Warm a couple days then cold the next has to have them all jacked up. Needs to get cold and stay cold for them to make it up in there thick I believe. Untell then I guess its heavey net big water throwing for me.

I don't think it is worth risking a net for 4 cutters and a bunch of hookers.

Going to try Tuesday hope the cutters have started up the creek

Water temp on Hubbard this morning was 46 to 47, should make them start their move.

Those shad reptiles have been popping up all over my area! I should be carrying a net when I go crappie catching!

The crappie and shad share the same seasonal migration.

Water temp in WRC was 46 this morning. Took my kayak from the lake almost to skillman. Not a ton of shad, but they are there. I got 3 gallons of cutters pretty easily. They weren't in the deep holes, but in eddies after riffles.
