Caught fish to 7-4 on a boss shaky head this morning. Closest I got to the dam was Black mountain.

Long stretch of deep bank just before you turn into the large cove to the right of the dam. No idea why they call it that but it's on the map.

Thanks all. Let y'all know how it goes. Anybody else feel free to respond. I'll be checking before I leave in the morning and possibly when I'm there. Lol.

I went to squaw thursday-sunday. Im on a 6 day vacation. too bad they're closed monday-wed.
I caught a lot of Bass and a few big ones. Ive been using 8lb zebco mono on my spinning reel. I lost 2 big ones from the line snapping. The fish didn't wrap it around a tree or anything it just snapped. I got 2 big ones in, however my line snapped on both of those 2 as well. The line snapped while they were right at the shore line so i was able to reach in and grab them real fast and take some photos.
I just got some 12lb spider wire mono and I'm hoping that will help?

I added the small one to as reference for that first one.. It was pretty big lol. Biggest one I've ever caught. I don't have a scale so i have no idea how much it weighed. Ill be getting a scale soon..

I've only been bank fishing since i don't have a boat.. There's one spot I've found thats accessible by boat. Ive only seen 2 boats go back there the whole time too. They both fished it so fast and left that they didn't really give it a chance. Also I've seen one go deep into to it and that is where I've caught the big ones. His boat was decent size so most boats should be able to get to it. There are some big ones in this area. Ive fished it twice and have had good luck. Im sure there are plenty of other places harboring some large ones but here is one spot.
I dropped a pin on the cove. its filled with timber. The boat ramp is at the top left.. so just turn left head south and then turn left again and go into that cove..
