It is with great honor that Texas Outdoor Organizers posts the announcement of the organizing, planning, & implementing of the 14th annual Texas Fishing Forum's offshore charters known as the 2015 TFF Catorce Tuna Charters for the benefit of the fishermen and women of the Texas Fishing Forum.

The 2015 TFF Catorce Tuna Charters are Friday-Sunday 56 hour charters on the Scat Cat out of Fisherman's Wharf in Port Aransas, Texas scheduled for October 2nd-4th, & November 6th-8th, 2015.

* There are a number of changes from previous years, all influenced by Fisherman's Wharf's policies. Please read carefully and understand these new requirements that T.O.O. implemented to make these TFF Catorce Tuna charters happen on the Scat Cat.*
Explanations of the changes are posted in this section under the thread titled of "Changes for 2015 TFF Catorce Tuna Charters"
If anyone has any questions on these changes feel free to call us directly and we'll discuss.

*T.O.O. requires that those members of the Texas Fishing Forum interested in joining either charter post on this thread stating your interest regarding the 2015 TFF Catorce Tuna Charters .
*Please post your intended charter by month and the number of spots you are reserving, either one (1) or two (2) spots.
In order to be fair to the members of the TFF we have limited reservations to 2 spots until the January 15th, 2015 deadline. Once that date has been reached any available spots will be open to "bulk" purchasing.

T.O.O. also requires an email be sent to us at too@outdoorstexas.com with your commitment to the specific charter. If you are new to the TFF Tuna charters please make sure you provide us with a full name and your TFF name in the email.
At that point with an email and a post on this thread you have reserved your spot(s) and once the security deposit is paid your spot(s) are locked down until the full deposit is paid by March 2nd, 2015.

Today, December 18th, 2015 is the start of the commitment time frame for the 2015 TFF Catorce Tuna Charters.
We have established a January 1st-January 15th, 2015 time frame to have a security deposit of $150 paid by those tunaheads as a commitment for this charter.
We recognize the cost involved and that the holiday season is upon us and T.O.O. tries to make the payment situation as painless as possible, but this security payment per spot is required to secure the spot.
Please postmark your check for at least January 1st, 2015.

*Reminder: a post and an email stating a commitment does not secure your spot until the security deposit of $150 is paid for each spot. Any unsecured charter spots are first pay, first reserve to all fishermen on the TFF after the January 15th 2015 security deposit deadline. PayPal or direct CC transaction are acceptable only after January 1st, 2015*

Fisherman's Wharf has raised their prices by $50 for 2015. As such, the cost per person for this charter is $810, an increase of $50 from the 2013 TFF Doce Tuna & 2014 Trece Tuna charters on the Scat Cat.
*The $810 price reflects a cash price discount price.*

Dates: Friday-Sunday, October 2nd-4th, & November 6th-8th, 2015
Length of Charter: 56 hours
Cost: $810 per person
Fishermen Required: 24
Boarding time: after 4pm day before the charter
Departure Time: 6am
Return Time: 2pm
Targeted fishing: Yellowfin and Blackfin Tuna, etc at night, daytime deep drop if within traveling distance.

if you use Paypal, we require the 3.9% fee be added to the payment sent.

Payment Time Frame:
$150 "earnest money" to secure and hold each spot due January 15th, 2015.
$250 deposit to finalize your spot(s), due March 2nd, 2015.
$410 Final Balance, due September 14th, 2015 or October 16th, 2015 for that TFF Catorce Tuna charter scheduled three weeks after these due dates.

Payment plans for paying are available if needed, please call or email us if you need to work something out.

In order to secure a spot or spots on the 2015 TFF Catorce Tuna Charters;
1. Post on this thread your commitment to the specific 2015 TFF Catorce Tuna Charters you want to be a part of in 2015.
2. Email us committing to that particular 2015 TFF Catorce Tuna Charter. Include your TFF name and real names if we do not know you to keep accurate records.
Emergency contact numbers would be good as well at that time instead of having to ask for it later on.
3. Send in your $150 security deposit betweenJanuary 1st, 2015 and January 15th, 2015.
*An email and a post stating a commitment does not secure your spot until the security deposit is in our possession*.
Any spot not secured with a $150 security deposit by January 15th, 2015 will have the effect of that spot being open for purchasing by other members of the TFF.
You'll then be good to go until March 2nd, 2015, when the remaining $250 deposit is due.
Note: Checks will not be deposited until January 15th, 2015.

As the March 2nd, 2015 full deposit deadline approaches, we'll email a reminder to all that sent in a security deposit of the full deposit balance being due at that time along with our Term of Agreement & Waiver that is required to be signed and returned by everyone fishing the 2015 TFF Catorce Tuna Charter.

We're required to have 24 fishermen for this charter.

2015 TFF Catorce Tuna Notes:
We have to secure a commitment for these types of trips to make sure everyone truly wants to do this trip. However, we've changed the security deposit requirements. $60 of the $150 security deposit is non-refundable if someone has to sell their spot. It is transferable to another service or trip or service provided by T.O.O.

The remaining security deposit and all other payments are refundable only if anyone has to withdraw and a buyer for that spot pays the original buyer without the assistance of T.O.O.

As always, if someone has to sell a spot, T.O.O. will try to help out and find a buyer, however the selling process is ultimately up to the seller. We've been very successful in finding buyers when a spot was needed to be sold in years past, but it takes time from our responsibility to those paid and going on the charter.

A TFF PM will not work for securing a spot, feel free to PM us, but as those that have used our services know, we send group emails to those committed to these TFF charters to disseminate information and we'll need everyone's email addresses.

Sleeping on board for free the night before the charter is still available.
*Tunaheads can start loading gear on the Scat Cat after 4pm the day before the charter.*

So to wrap this up; make sure the dates work for you, post up, email us, get the security deposit in to us by the January 15th, 2015 deadline and you'll be set until March 2nd, 2015.
Once we get that payment, we work for you and we'll do whatever you need to make the trip a success.

You can't handle 4ft seas and you call me BS ha ha ha come on Dave ya land lubber. We've fished 16ft seas on TFF Cinco Tuna on the Big "E" We were skiing 14oz jigs on the slide.

No Bobby there were plenty of 100-150 pound YFT last trip on this side of Mexico. I just did not have my gear up to the challenge but will be better prepared this time.

I got this one on a stock Torium 30 with 50# test mono.

And I think I bought it used.

Come on man I've blown up a Torium 30 on just 5 YFT Lucky once don't add up to beating Tuna over 140Lbs I'm bigger than you over 200lbs both of those YFT I'm holding up are ever 110 Lbs. I travel to fish 24 hour plane ride I don't have all year to get my gear ready like most of you...it was just old line that got me last trip, I can fix that. So stick that in your used Torium and crank it real good ya sawed off old fart.

Ain't nobody said anything at all about using a Torium 30 to fish for Yellowfins. Nope. I caught that fish behind a shrimpboat 48 miles off Port A fishing for blackfins. It was the smallest of 6 or 7 we hooked that day.

Our Canadian friend Walleye had the biggest fish you're just wishin Surfer Dude, I won Tres Tuna so I did not even have my fish weighed on Quatro I had too much fun catching two full limits + 2 to worry about that. I took the smallest of my 3 fish limit home whole to show the kids & it weighed over 90 with the tail cut off gutted. I think that long fight with that hand off fish Capt Nate finally pulled the hooks out of fried your Cali brain. 99.5 is a freakin country music radio station dude.

I do hope we get into a bunch of big YFT over 120lbs like last trip. I did have one ripping line off my Avet HJX raptor with 25lb of drag like it was a zebco 33 and it popped 80lb OTI braid. I want another shot at that fish on a jig this year. Sword or Big eye maybe we will see? Hopefully the wind will give us a break this year too it was nuts last NOV.

Brian that was the baby of the school. I can't remember how many we hooked that day but it was at least 7 maybe 9 or 10. The boat's 4/0 with a half a spool of line on them were no match for what we encountered. Two of the fish hooked were fought for more than a n hour and were easily over 200.

The only other one put on the boat was (caught at the same time I caught mine) caught by James Wheeler (now captain of the Dolphin) and it went 186.
