That kinda stuff seems to be trending in your area as well.....

Yeah no kidding ground ZERO for a majority of these recent quakes has been 3 miles east of me at the old Texas Stadium site. My wife works about 1/4 mile away in 4th floor office said it spun her desk chair and rocked her PC monitors,

seems the sardine finish is the most productive, but they all work pretty good

for all you buying the Halco Max 130's, please remember to upgrade the hooks & rings. The Owner ST-66 in 1/o is perfect.

Bill, H50 Pilchard is how Halco lists the sardine one Brian is talking about.

Bill .... It gets confusing and what Mark and Brian are saying is true to a point. But it depends on where you are looking. On some sites the "Pilchard" is now listed as "Hot Sardine" and the old "Sardine" is now listed as "Baitfish" .... hmmm

I bought two at Port A Outfitters yesterday and the packaging is still calling it Pilchard. This is what the lure Brian is referring to looks like and you may see it listed as either Pilchard or Hot Sardine. The supply I was shopping yesterday had the one that Halco lists as Baitfish in packages that showed them as Sardine. Are you following me?

Packaging on the ones I bought yesterday showed them as Pilchards. Port A Outfitters is cheaper than everyone online to. Except maybe Charkbait. But no freight smile If you want to buy them from Port A Outfitters I will pick them up for you.

Billy did good last year on the one called Stripey too.

Brian,
What size split ring do you use?

Robert

Well, the lure comes w/ 3 triple wound split rings. 2 different sizes.
I replace the hook-hanger rings to an Owner #6(?), 110#.
you need to put the hooks on the rings, THEN put 'em on the lure.
then I take one of the larger split rings off the stock hooks & use it as the new tow ring. I think the most important part is increasing the strength of the tow ring, as that was the one I had stretched out on an average fish,
the same fish that straightened one of the stock hooks.

Speaking of Halcos.

I stopped by Roy's yesterday and their new expansion is still ongoing. But they are getting in new products and they now have a full supply of Halco lures. They have the Max 130 and the C-Gar.

They also have some interesting looking Halco poppers that I hadn't seen before.

Roy's will be having a big grand opening sale when the work is done and lures, hooks and line, etc. will be 20% off I'm sure so if anyone wants me to get them some PM me and I'll tell you where to send me your blank checks and credit card numbers .... clap
