I found this on other forums but it seems to "fit like a glove". I have not been able to take it out to try it, not sure if it needs to be tied down, but that should be easy if needed. I'll probably add some rubber tape or poole noodles to protect the yak where the metal comes into contact.

What do you guys think?

Looks like it should be comfortable and lightweight. Will be watching for your on-the-water test results.

I can't think of a good reason to NOT tie any seat down on a kayak. If I leaned my body out a ways ( to net that monster fish, of course) I sure don't want my seat slipping around behind me.

I have that seat and love it. It's much more comfortable than the original Hobie seat. The first time I took the yak out with it, I did turtle, but I reached way to far out than I should of. I was a little over confident with it. Since then, I cut out 1 1/2" from the legs to lower it a bit. Just like the guy did on whatever site I saw this mod on. The only thing that I did not copy was the use of the conduit coupling. With the dowel inside the legs, it's a pretty good fit. Not much slop. I'm just going to use black gorilla tape. I'll try to get some pics one of these days and post them.
