Taking over Tournament Chairman for our Bass Club and I'm having a problem with the excel spreadsheet for the conversion to lbs and ounces it adds up whole numbers and tenth's but doesn't convert them. I'm no wiz at excel for sure. Does any clubs have an example for a 12 month period? Any assistance would be appreciated.

I don't have a sheet that does pounds and ounces, but I can help you with the formula that will tally them for you correctly. You would think with the infinite wisdom of Microsoft, they could figure out how to make it an easy function. LOL
Set the hook first, ask questions later!!!

Your easiest method is for you to convert it. You can't mix lbs and ounces. A 4llb 6 ounce bass is 4 x 16 =64 ounces plus 6 ounces=70 ounces , now divide that by 16 ounces and that comes to 4.375 lbs, not sure how you could build a spread sheet with one input column. You would have to create two inputs for each person one column for lbs one column for ounces , do the conversion for lbs to ounces ,add the two ,and then divide by 16

Thanks guys that math is way over me. The spreadsheet tally's up but I don't think it's correct since it's going to the whole number. (ie 1.80 plus 1.20 adds up to 3.0 but actually its not correct).

Invest in tournament keeper software for your club. It calculates everything for you. I have used it for our club for seven years and it's a breeze to use. Google it and you can download load from the Internet. I believe it's around 99.00. Well worth it.

If you would PM me I would be able to update some formulas to help you. You could send me a copy of the excel file and I would quickly update the formulas to get what you need. No charge of course. I do stuff like this for fun.
