Buddy of mine and I went today 11/28/14 for a couple of hours and had not a single bite. Didn't see any fish caught while we were there either.
Talked to one fisherman that said he saw them being stocked on Wed and that he caught 1 the day before.
Might wait till the next stocking before I try again.
Met TFF'er Ed the plumber. Nice meeting you.
If anyone is doing any better out there please chime in.

I was out there today for about 4 hours and only managed two. In fact I didn't see anyone catch more than two the entire time I was out there. I was using yellow power bait.

Fished there with a buddy yesterday also, 7am - 11 and only 2 bites. We tried everything for those little rainbows. Chartreuse glitter power bait, rainbow colored, pink, white, even worms and spinners. Nothing seemsed to work. Did see a few guys catch one or two though. Not sure as to what they were using. Very slow day indeed!!

Several problems come to mind for South Lakes Park. The cattails have taken over more of the shoreline than several years ago. The fish can get beyond casting range. This includes the catfish stockings. When they stock they do not put many fish in each time. That's a big pond for so few fish. It's definitely a challenge when fishing this pond for trout.

Went out there this morning for 2hrs. Tried power bait and super dupper with no luck for an hour then switched to mice tail. Got 3 with in 30 minutes. It's hard to catch them every where I went to this year. I guest the feeding time is different this year and it's up to us to figure out then will be able to catch more.

Braved the cold Wednesday, Dec 31, afternoon. Trout finicky, biting light, could not get hooksets. Finally got limit, most caught just before sundown, on very small hooks, small pieces of chartreuse powerbait, single split shot.

You can use power baits, super dupper, mice tails or fly, all work fine.

I tried again this past Saturday 2/7 and only caught 2. Didn't see much action out there today.
Anyone else?
Thanks, Fab
