Was checking the Deablo East camera and there is fog covering the lake. My wife has told me to watch the weather there and plan a trip. She is ready for a few days on Amistad.

The bite probably hasn't picked up but I can find a few fish. Besides it is about going. The catching part I will handle after we get there. If the bite is off it will still be a nice trip.

We usually stay at Amstad Resort but the last group that I know that went there didn't have a good report on them. There are several nice places in town and it is only about 15 to 20 minutes from the lake.

I was there last week Skip. We fished all over the devils and caught a bunch of smaller fish but had a blast. Have a topwater tied on

Yep Manchu thats all I'm looking for is a good time with the wife. My tournament days and hard core fishing are long past. These days its all about just going.

I will be out there in a few weeks, looking forward to it for sure. Hopefully the water will continue to inch up,
