So I want to get a pair of waders to fish trough the winter and early spring, but I don't know how much bigger I should go on sizes. Or even a general size to look for! I wear a size 13/14 shoe, 6'2, and 36x36 pant size if anyone has any suggestions.

I was thinking that the mag2 waders from academy would work for me in the XL size, but they only go up to a size 13 shoe size, would that effect a lot?

They might be a little tight in the foot. The academy waders are a good bargain but you do sacrifice fit. I always thought they ran small in the foot. I really like the Orvis waders. The endura line isn't to much more than those mag2s.

If you are looking at stocking foot waders, the foot size is critical for comfort. Too small or tight and you will be miserable all day, but if the feet are too big, the extra material can bunch up in your boots and cause blisters. Start with the foot size and then make sure the rest of the waders are big enough to be comfortable while wearing winter clothing. Other than the foot size, bigger is usually better.

I highly recommend trying on waders to find the right fit.

Now, if you are looking for women's waders, the phrase "abandon all hope" comes to mind. Don't even try to mail order them, women's waders pretty much have to be tried on to even have a chance at finding something that fits.

I purchased the Mag 2 waders from Academy along with a cheap pair of zip up wading shoes. I agree the fit was an issue and the shoe size ran small on the stocking feet. Also, I had to purchase the wading shoes 2 sizes bigger. I tried everything on before I purchased and glad I did. But ultimately except for being a little bit tight in the feet I am very happy with them. I like all the zip up pockets, good suspenders, heavy leg guards, the look and belt with hooks. Good quality for the price.

I use to just wear waders with Adjustable belt and neoprene bootys.
Id Double or triple sock when really cold. Big
Rubber boots offer no insulation r hard to swim in and noisy in the yak.
The belt will help keeps water out of your waders if u get wet.

Then I picked up neoprene bibs from mariner sails in dallas.
looking 2 get neoprene boots to go with em soon..
If I was 2 go over in the middle of the lake Id still get a lil wet. My hands would still go numb
but swimming and moving around would b easy.

White water yakers wear a jacket pant combo. The material Is like wader material.
And they have neoprene cuffs and collars to keep water out.

On them but its another option for ya.

I'm in my third season using the Caddis Wading System Deluxe Stockingfoot Breathable Waders. Since these weren't available locally I had to trust their sizing charts and purchase online through Amazon. I'm 6'0", 200 lbs, 34 waist x 32 inseam pant size, and 10.5 shoe/boot. I purchased my waders in a medium and they fit great. There's enough room for me to appropriately layer up when it's really cold, but their not too baggy when I don't. I went with their Ultralite Boot with the EcoSmart Sole in a size 12 to allow room for when I wear thick wool socks. The boots seem to run big, but I'm not sure I would have had enough room in a size 11 when wearing thick socks. The 12's aren't so big that they feel like clown shoes, and the extra room is nice so that I can wiggle my toes

Waders can be a real pain in the [censored], I like wearing my neoprene socks w/ my bib pants tucked into them while launching and unloading.It looks dumb but it's a lot more comfortable in this crazy west texas cold mornings and warm days! If you were in the northern half of the USA I would say get the waders but I bought some and wore them a few times and their good in the morning but hot in the afternoon.

Hmmm this seems like a pretty good idea! I've already got ski bibs that I have been wearing
