4500 is the range I run the most and I open her up every few trips out.

About 4500 RPM's for me. Just don't go wide open much anymore

Of course everybody will get better gas mileage when just cruising down the lake rather than running wide open. I run a 250 ProXS on BassCat Cougar FTD and I get about 16 MPG according to my smart gauge when cruising 3500-4000 RPMs. But I am a speed demon and love going fast. When I push 5500-6000 RPMs, 78-82mph, I still get 7-9 MPG. I think you missed a decimal point.

2 stroke engines don't like to idle or cruise......I drive mine like I stole it when the lake allows it.... This ^ ... You may get increased carbon build-up from the lower RPM's And you may get decreased engine life running it WFO all the time.

Yea.....mines 17 years old and runs like it's [censored] is on fire (ask forkfish) so......not so much decreased life....what blows up 2 strokes is babying them most of the time and then running WOT....

Around 4300 for the most part usually airing it out once or twice in an open area where it is safe to do so. My smaller rigs I ran @ WOT all the time.........
